One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is to create new products and see how they succeed in generating attention for ACNBA. Our opportunities to ‘wave our flag’ have greatly increased thanks to our recent rebranding, which has included the development of a new corporate image and website.
Our new logo is a bright, colourful and positive image, moving away from the doom and gloom imagery of the earlier days of HIV/AIDS when the virus and disease were associated with death and dying. Today with the ongoing research and retroviral drug regimens there is a more hopeful and optimistic outlook to the global pandemic.
So having our new display banners and table covering on show at the various functions we attend are very proud personal moments. Case in point, we had both installed at two different venues in early June. The first occasion was at the Sunset Players’ ‘ART’ play held at Widdifield Secondary School from June 5th till the 8th. And it made a very big splash at the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s Northern Health Research Conference held at Canadore College June 7th (pictured above).
Both times we were able to distribute information, awareness and most importantly SWAG! Our display provides us with an ideal stage for our SWAG items, which on these occasions included notepads, mirrors, hand sanitizers, whistle/keychain/flashlight combos, emery boards, postcards etc.
Be on the lookout for our display at an event near you!
