Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Day a Sellout!

February 14th, 2012 at 10:33 am

A perfect day for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! Dozens of North Bay residents stopped by the public area outside city hall June 13 to pick up boxes of the sweet treat. Most were picking up their pre-ordered Krispy Kremes, while others purchased some of the extra boxes brought in. Over 1,200 boxes were driven up from Mississauga's Krispy Kreme Doughnuts outlet that morning and were gone by 1:30 pm.

There’s no doubt about it, North Bay loves Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Day! Dozens of area residents patiently lined up outside North Bay city hall to pay for their pre-ordered boxes of honey-glazed treats. It was the fourth year for the ACNBA fundraiser and it proved to be the most successful yet with over 1,200 boxes sold.

The sweet cargo was driven up fresh from Krispy Kreme’s Mississauga outlet that morning in a van donated for the event by Enterprise Car Rental.

ACNBA staff, board members and volunteers delivered the larger orders to locations throughout North Bay. U-Need-A-Cab owner, John Strang, no stranger to the ACNBA fundraiser, generously provided delivery services as well.

Krispy Kreme fundraiser coordinator, Kristina Rancourt, was thrilled with the response to this year’s event, outselling last year’s by over 400 boxes. Thanks to North Bay residents’ sweet tooth, almost $5,000 was raised for ACNBA’s client and outreach services.
